Volant’s cold air intake systems are designed to pull cold air from outside the engine compartment to shield the filter from the engine’s heat. Volant cold air intake systems modify the air intake duct and filter box by reducing intake restrictions, rerouting and increasing the diameter of the new air duct without removing any sensors from the vehicle. In many models, Volant completely seals the air filter in its own box to protect their high flow performance filter from any of the hot air from the engine. Volant’s cold air intakes are much larger than stock and are molded with a high-grade cross-link polyethylene material to insulate the air box from conducting as much heat as metal would. These cold air intakes fits and installs like your original factory air intake.
